Obviously, ".....120vac from your cheap 100+ watt inverter to power the compressor through the relay" should have been "...cheap 1000+ watt inverter...". While the one in the HF ad @ 3.5 cfm at 90psi is larger than you need (you only need one that will put out around 1cfm @ 90psi) it certainly qualifies as inexpensive enough to fit most budgets. I like the smallest of the Senco nail gun compressors better at around the same price or even less. You can find those at any big box store.

I could easily, but don't, use Jerry's suggestion -- for no good reason.
When dumping the holding tanks, I like to lower the rear suspension all the
way to get good evacuation. When there are others waiting to get on the
dump station it's embarrassing to wait 2-3 minutes, at least, for the rear
end to rise enough for me to move away.
Some years ago I fixed that problem by re-packaging a Craftsmen 120 vac
portable compressor into a package that fits in the refrigerator
compartment. Since I already had a 1500W inverter, power was no problem.
Using an old Chevrolet swing-down gas filer door/tag mount, I made a
compartment behind the license plate. There I have two spring loaded
switches which independently operate the left and right air bag dump
valves. There are also switches for the two macerators (one for each
tank), and a third, push button, which controls the 120 vac compressor via
a 12 VDC relay,.
After lowering the rear all the way and dumping, I press the push button
and the rear rises from full down to full up in about 30 seconds. No more
grinning like a monkey at the waiting folks behind me. :-) Or maybe I
should say, now I CAN grin like a monkey.
The only thing keeping me from using the high capacity compressor full time
is that I don't need to since the 12 VDC one runs only rarely and briefly.
If it should fail, I'd probably add that 3' of 1/4" tubing and 6' of wire.
:-)
It does occasionally get exercised for tire inflation, etc., via its high
pressure quick disconnect.

The compressor runs so rarely that going to a larger compressor makes no sense to me. If you want additional quick lift capacity, simply add a larger tank. I have an old fireman's air tank rated at 2000 PSI. I mounted it under the coach to one of the crossover frame rails. I fill it with the standard on board compressor. Now I have an additional couple of gallons of air when I want it to quickly raise the coach. It is all automatic and I have forgotten that it is even there.
