I'm outside of tupelo Mississippi heading to Florida and need a brake hose. No auto part places have one with out ordering it and won't see it till Tuesday. Does anyone have an extra with in a 100 miles from me that I can borrow. If I gotta stay here another night my wife and kids are gonna start interviewing for another daddy.
Thanx. David

I would have to take one off the CanyonLands or the Sequoia. I don't like to do stuff like that, but don't want to see you using your profits to pay alimony.

I can check the parts places in Decatur, Birmingham, Cullman and Jasper tomorrow. They're all closed today.

What's your preference?

Mark. I found one at the oreillys in Pelham AL and that looks like my best shot but not till 7a moro morn. I think the chances that getting it off that old girl might be easier said then done. If it's good now leave it. I appreciate the offer tho.

300 mile round trip seems excessive. If you are waiting at their door at 7 tomorrow, it will be 10 before you even get back to Tupelo to put it on.

What's the part number and make/model vehicle it fits? and I will check Decatur, Cullman and Jasper. Might save you a hundred miles and a couple of hours.

Reply to the texts I sent if you want.

David,

In a town the size of Tupelo there should be a shop capable of making a hose
in a few minutes. Last year at Bean Station, we mistakenly thought Manny
had sent too-short hoses for the reaction arm system. Before we discovered
OUR mistake, we'd run into Morristown and NAPA made 2 new hoses in about 15
minutes for $100.

I did exactly that just last week to a friend's Ford Ranger. (rear brakes only now.) It gets him around locally until he can replace a rusted through right front line.

I thought of that for a minute. But the rears are already blocked and that would leave me with just the drivers side. Had I been a100 miles out I may have tried it but I'm towing my jeep and it's already hairy. I'm about 15 mins from Dennis" place so I'm gonna grab them and turn around and head back for some late night, side of the road wrenching and hope to be moving by midnight. Hope to cross the Florida state line by sunup. Thanx again for the help. I absolutely couldn't this do without the forum. And my iPhone.
Thanx. David

Just left Dennis sexton and his lovely bride. This gmc network is really special. There is not a single person I have met thru this community who hasn't been gracious, generous and interesting. I can't think that there's another owner group as large and as willing to bring a perfect stranger into their home solely based on what they drive. Whether you realize or not you are all fortunate and in really good company
