Has anyone tried this particular roof coating? Something like it? Comments? Reasons why not to go that way?

Thanks

Yep. I've used it on my SOB, Sprinter. It works very well. I'm going on
4 seasons and its holding up well. Its essentially a new rubber roof. In
fact, I liked it so much I submitted a video testimonial.
After the application, we had a rain within 24 hours and the roof was
watertight. I've not had an issue with a leaking roof since I used EPDM.
Worth every $ in my opinion.

The downside to this or an elastomeric roof coating is the look. These types of roof coatings are meant for flat roofs which have very little aesthetic exposure from the ground. It has a dull (flat) finish and may not be entirely smooth, depending on the application method. If that's OK with you, I'm guessing you would be happy with it. I would also research whether or not it will adhere to the existing painted roof surface.
