OK, I have the new Honda mounted in the coach and
I am now doing the hook ups. I am assuming that I
should tie the 2 red leads ( one red w/ white strip) together
and tie the 2 white (neutral) together coming from the control box
and connect them to the 2 original lines the come from the fuse box.
I will wait for your confirmations.

The install manual says to use an isolator if powering the starter with the house battery. This is to prevent the charger in the genny from fighting the charger in the coach... Can anyone chime in here? I am currently installing one in my RV. Jim Bounds?

Larry (and others), Are you installing it in a three wire coach (30 amp)? Your plan will work. Mine is in my Avion and I connected to the four wire 50 amp plug, so somewhat different. You should know that one pair is 30 amp rated and the other pair is 20 amp rated. Without tracing them back to origin, I don't know of an easy way to distinguish which is which.
Interesting on the isolater comment, I must have missed that part of the install. I've had no problems without the isolater, so far.

Not much about the 12V system until the end of that video. I wonder if there is a way to disable it since it is not needed in an RV.

Yes, the procedure is discussed and demonstrated at the tail end of the video.
There's this too:
Quote Pete Lyons 11/1/2007
I have finally found the problem with my Honda EV6010, and I would like to pass on some important information to those they may have one and hopefully save them some money.
The problem I was experiencing was that Fuse #1 would instantly blow.
Just installing a new fuse would cause it to blow. This is a problem that started as on occasional fuse blowing (maybe twice a year).
First diagnosis was that it was the main controller board ($400), and after installing that I still had the same problem.
I called the folks at Hicklin Power, and as soon as I discussed the problem they had an answer. It's a direct short in the stator, and it's caused by "backfeeding". In other words, while i'm driving down the road and the alternator is charging the battery, if my gen is running it is also charging the battery, and the alternator is backfeeding power back to the stator, which over time causes the stator to fail.
It's an $800 part from honda, Hicklin sells them professionally re- wound for $475.
The solution is to clip the white wire on the 2 wire plug going into the control panel. That will keep the gen from trying to charge the battery. Another option would be to install a motorcycle battery just for the gen.
You can reach Hicklin at 1-800-234-8989. Their tech support is amazing. I didn't buy anything from them, but yet they took the time to walk me through the whole procedure of removing the stator, and told me to call back if i needed a "refresher" when it came to re- install the stator. If I ever need a new gen, it will be purchased from these folks.

Yeah, I re-watched the end a couple of times. He de-pinned the white wire and cut it back in the harness. I wonder if that could be used for some other load so long as it does not exceed 5A...
...Not that it's needed.
