Going nuts with the GMC. Found all kinds of problems with the plumbing. I leak checked it OK with air this winter. I just found the "secret" place the PO had capped off the plumbing feeds to the kitchen side. I put water on it and had a reasonably good
approximation of a lawn sprinkler system behind the closet, the electrical panel, the stove and under the sink. To top it off the system has been frozen often enough that the copper tube is expanded enough that fittings don't fit. Oh well I don't really need much sleep between now and when we leave for the Rt 66 rolling rally. I suspect I may do some repairs that I don't think much of just to geterdone. (hmmm - the spell checker must be a redneck. It didn't flag "geterdone".)
Like I said, I HATE plumbing.
Also I was trying to find the source of the dead smell outside the barn. Some racoon found a way into the parts coach and couldn't get out. Found him dead and had to take him out of there on pitchfork. I may hate that more than plumbing.

Yes water in general sucks.

Steve;
hears what a friend used when they discovered a rank smelling dead animal
take a large jam jar or a cottage cheese container - place 1 bar b q
brickette and add white vinegar making sure the brickette is covered and
place a few in the area. apparently it absorbed all the smell.
She told me this when I was telling her about the leather seats I bought
off craigslist only to find they smelled musty.
I have graduated from the walker to crutches and now able to do steps. The
coach is ready and waiting for us in Portland. Plan on getting a ride down
and getting in to head east - slow at first then pick up the pace as the
healing completes.
Scaled down on the painkillers over the past 2 days and none since
yesterday afternoon. Discomfort yes but my head is clearer.
Look forward to seeing you in Chicago (area)
