I am watching a show on the National Geographic Channel called Showdown of
the Unbeatables. One of the contests is between a train horn and a product
called acoustiblok. I'm watching to see who will win, but during a
commercial I went to their web site at http://www.acoustiblok.com/. The
product is a sheet (neoprene looking) of material that is 1/8" (3 mm) thick.
It supposedly has more sound deadening properties than 12" thick poured
concrete.

I could see installing it under the flooring as well as installing it
against the skin of the GMC under the new insulation that I plan to install.

This product looks interesting. Anyone have any experience with it?

This product coupled with the Thermablok, along with the foil backed insulation, just might make an interesting project during my upcoming headliner replacement.

That's exactly what I was thinking Jack. I have a hunch that you'll get to
this project before I can. You're only about 3 hours south of me, if you
need an extra set of hands for the install, let me know.
