After a lot of discussion the wife and I have decided we're going to be putting our '76 up for sale.
In many ways we hate to do it, it's an admission of defeat in a way.
We just haven't used it as we had planned because of her ongoing medical problems and don't see a change in the future.
Anyway I'm starting to put the ad together, and hoping to get $12 to $14k for it.
If anyone in the Tacoma area is interested shoot me a line and we can talk.
You can find some pictures in my http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/g5705-mitch-s-beast.html

I've truly learned a lot both from the beast and from everyone here.

Sorry to hear that Mitch. FYI the link you posted doesn't work. You need to remove the "album:" from the front. Here's a link to your photos.

Mitch,

It isn't a defeat. It is a realization that you are forced to change your priorities. If my wife had medical issues and the choice was to let go of the coach, the coach would be gone.

If it is really as good as it looks in the pictures, it is a good deal at 14K. Be sure mention the wheels, and that it has been driven recently (not been sitting in the weeds somewhere).

Mitch,

Sorry to hear you are selling. Sincerely hope your wife's health does take many turns for the better. You did well by your coach, by the looks of it. Nice macerator install.

You know how the Ace Hardware advertisements have the clerks greeting you by name? Well, every time I do a project ...
"Hey Mitch! Whatcha working on now?"
I can't remember the last anything (other than TVs) that had everything in one box.
Let's not even talk about the latest wifi connected Tivos.
Oh well, I've been having fun, and it keeps me away from the refrigerator.
The macerator was interesting because it had to come out near where the old system does, but the 3" had to loop farther around the back. And the shutoff rod for the 3" ended up at the right rear corner of the coach. All figured out while lying on my back.
I still think these beasties could have electric motors in place of brakes on all four rear wheels. And regeneration back to batteries. We'd have the pullin'est honkers around!
