I want to put that trim back on my door till I come up with a plan for the outside of the coach. 36 inches is needed due to my widening the door by 7 inches for Linda's wheelchair. I'm trying to tidy up the outside for the MACUN Muscle Car / Corvette National show next November. Thanks, Bob Dunahugh GMCMI member. 78 Royale

JimK sells it.

If you don't want to buy a whole roll I'll bet he could find you a 3' piece at a good price.

You will likely have to buy a 25' roll from any autobody supply store or the web.

Dave. I just bought a roll from Jim K. The thing is that you can't buy the original anymore. Jim's is just black only. And now we've put off redoing the outside till next winter. So I'm looking for a used piece.Bob Dunahugh

Bob, our local paint shop will sell that trim by the foot. However, I have a roll of the black trim with the "chrome" edges. If I find it I will cut a piece off for you. It is either in my garage or storage unit but I do have it.

Especially if you can leave the door latched open for most of the show. :-)

WOW Ken. Didn't think of that. ( GRIN) But then I'd have to find a latch. But you're right. The door will be open most of the time. Our GMC looks pretty good. But I need to make a good impression. As I'll be representing the GMC community. One of my goals is that there will be some magazine, and TV reporters there. Looking to get some GMC coverage there too. Don't care about having my Goodyear tire testing Yenko there. But that's how I got the GMC in a show like this. And thanks Todd. I talked to Bob tonight.

Bob,

For 12+ years I've used a fancy heavily chromed marine door hook & eye. I
actually had to buy two of them to get the eye for the door and one to stow
the coach-mounted hook.

There seem to be some good prices here:

Alex Birch used to sell a little kit with his screen doors that had two

He also had a little template tat located the screws correctly.

Todd,

Here's the URL to the photos of my Door Keeper. I'm afraid I loaded them
twice; the first attempt put them, I think, in the general album
"Modifications, Exterior". Maybe Bdub can delete them from there, or, if I
find them again, I will.
