I bought one of those gizmos (Microcell) at a yard sale for $25, without
an antenna.
The seller said it was a cell phone amplifier. He didn't say that it was
a gadget that let you use your cell through the internet, and that it
wasn't compatible with satellite internet. Seeing as how I still have
satellite internet, it remains unused and untested by me. Don't know if
it works or not.

Ron,

If you are interested in selling, I might be interested. But I really should just switch to a better provider, as my current provider's coverage is weak at my (in town) house.

What might be a better use of the Microcell would be as equipment to enhance "electronic infrastructure" at GMC rallies and the like.
