Is the GMCI cross reference list coming out soon? It's my favorite part of belonging to the club.

Hi Bob
Funny you asked. I am working on as we type.
I'm adding a few "gotcha" pages this year to alert folks to the recent lack
of adherence to specifications in the manufacture of our parts. Examples
are fan belts, front and rear bearing seals, ... Things that could be
sub-standard or actually damage your motorhome.
If you, or anyone, has other examples, please let me know. Also, of
course, if you have run across any new parts that can be used in place of
those listed in the 78Z parts book, please make me aware.
It will be mailed with the Spring Newsletter packet later this month or in
early May.
For non-GMCMI members, join now to be included in this important mailing.
We'll throw in all the other benefits for free. :-)

Slightly off-topic...
As a GMCMI member - is the parts interchange book available as a PDF?
How about PDF's of ALL past newsletters?
Thanks,
Rob

Hey Bdub;
So this just kind of hit me wrong. As a non-GMCMI member I'm not sure I
would want to add anything to this "gotcha" page if at the end of it all it
is going to be behind a "Member's Only" section of the GMCMI website and
will only benefit those folks. I would want any input that I could possibly
give to be available to everyone with a coach for instance if there are
safety issues involved. Just not sure I'm comfortable with this. Just
wondering about this...

Gary there is no reason you couldn't have your additions somewhere else. Or anyone who isn't a GMCMI member could put his somewhere public. That's no big deal. But for the Parts Interchange, an all in one pamphlet put out by the GMCMI club, you need to be a member to get it. It's nothing malevolent, just a perk of being a GMCMI member. If you want your contributions and other non-GMCMI member contributions to be public, by all means get out there and do it! I'll support that like the online parts project that was being developed. If someone else wants to invest the time and energy that's awesome. But if you want what has already been developed and continually updated under the GMCMI auspices, then the best option is to become a member.

""Gary,
I'm confused?!
With all due respect It "doesn't hit you as wrong" that those of us that pay $30 a year for membership should cover the cost for
people that are not willing to spend $30 year for membership some of which goes to pay for the work that Bdub does editing,
updating, printing and distributing the Parts List?

Rob M.

The interchange book itself is worth the cost of membership.

WOW--I think some people work very hard to make all of this happen and even though I don't attend rallies, this is one of the best bargains around.
