That's what I did, works great, and the 30 amp cord takes up less space
in the compartment
My coach had a 50 amp cord, and matching generator socket, so my wiring
sequence is: Pigtail from inside coach to 50 amp to 30 amp dogbone
adaptor to 30 amp extension cord.
With your 30 amp coach, it's even easier
