I got an email from a guy who is in the Phoenix area with a 74 GMC and has a problem with his rear suspension. He is looking for recommendations for someone who can work on it. I have his phone and email but hesitate to publish them without his permission. His area code is 602 so probably he lives there.

Don't know what his problem is other than he wants the name of a mechanic who can work on it and I don't know any up there.

I'm currently trying to transcribe saved emails into my GMC notes to clear out some iCloud space. I just put this post from Steve Ferguson (April 2009) into my suspension notes...

"On the way back from GMCWS, Palm Desert, I stopped in Phoenix to get a professional wheel alignment. Every component on the front of my coach is new from the box to the knuckles and my initial alignment specs had settled. It was clear rom the tire wear that I needed to get this done.

As it turned out, the owner of the recommended shop is more than just familiar with the GMC. He was involved with the developement of some of the steering components and also the developement of the shimming method for aligning the rear bogeys. Neat guy. Nice shop. Excellent, efficient employees. The alignment took nearly 3 hours and each adjustment was checked and rechecked. The steering wheel is dead center and the coach is a dream to drive. Hit 35 mph cross winds all the way home and seldom had to use more than one hand. The coach drives better than my Caprice wagon now. If you're in the area, the name of the shop is Spectra Suspension Center Inc., on Baseline Dr.

I just can't describe how much I enjoy getting my money's worth. They also do six wheel alignments and are very familiar with straightening and shimming GMC rear suspension.

Steve Ferguson"

No. It is a link from BDubs blacklist page. http://www.bdub.net/Black_List/

Scroll down a bit to the part that says "Now you can locate Black List members in a full screen map", next to "Now you can locate Black List members in a full screen map" there is a dialog box where you type in the city and hit the "search" button. After I typed in "Phoenix" and hit enter, I copied the URL and posted it to my reply.

Thanks for all the replies. I have not heard from the guy since I sent him several suggestions for how to find info and all of your responses. Thanks again.
