Another forum I follow (Wanderlodge Owners Group) has just added a "Pony Express" section to it's discussion. This is where, if you have a set of Bluebird widgets that need to go from Americus to New York you can meet someone who is driving an empty coach form Americus to Boston - via New York City. In other words, if there is a need to move something, why not make it known on a special section.
Just a thought - maybe it would be best in the Swap section. I just think we could help one another out by moving GMC Parts or coaches around.
Let me know what you think and how this might work in our forum.

Good idea. Make sure folks have some mechanical ability to fix some things by the side of the road if necessary.

That's a great idea! Another forum that I'm on has quite a large membership.
Old Wood and Metal Working Machinery (formerly Old Wood Working Machinery)
at www.owwm.org does something similar. They call it a rucker when a machine
is moved near or far by another person, or several people. If one of the
movers can hold onto it for a while until the owner can pick it up or
arrange a further rucker, that's called a potter.
This works well if a fellow is going from Sacramento to Carthage, MO for
example. He can look in the ruckers section of the web site and see if
anything needs to be moved along his route. He can also post his trip and
people who need something moved can contact him.
I have had several metal lathes, drill presses, etc transported from all
ends of conus and they have all eventually ended up near my home. I have
also sold many machines and sent them on their way to the new owner, who is
the person responsible for arranging the rucker. Usually the buyer who has
asked for the rucker offers to pay something toward gas. The money isn't
required, but helping out with gas money is a universal gesture. It has
worked this way for many many years.
