When I was at the New Hampshire GMCMI rally in 1996 or 1997 or thereabouts,
the talk was that God Himself had selected the G-159 as the tire of choice
for the GMC.
When I got my Alcoas shortly after I got home, I installed the
G-159's....seemed a no brain-er!
It wasn't long before I realized that talk is cheap and that experts can in
fact, be full of dog excrement . The belts started breaking and the tires
didn't wear well either. In a attempt to keep all tires the same on the
GMC, I replaced and replaced the 159's with more 159s.
Eventually I gave up and installed Michelins and have been using them
since. However the price has become a case of what the market will bear as
apposed to a reasonable selling price...I am now looking for something else.
So i get a little long winded! <g> The point, avoid G-159's
