I'm getting ready to buy new 16 inch tires for our GMC. We have Alcoa 16 inch wheels on the ground but the spare is still a steel 16 1/2 inch. I want to replace it with a steel 16 inch. I went to a local junk yard today and bought a 16 inch offset wheel from an '87 P3500 Chevy PU. Everything looks right but in cleaning it up I found a marking that says Accuride max load 2440 lbs, max PSI 80. There are some other numbers but they are hard to make out. I haven't tried it on the coach yet to see if it clears the brake calipers. I see someone posted that an Accruride 29587 will not work. I don't know the part number of the one I bought.

Appreciate receiving thoughts on whether the one I bought will work.

Thanks,

If is bowl shaped, it should work, but try it to verify. If it is cone shaped, it will probably scrub the front caliper.

This should work

This will not

I don't know if anyone has tried these, but they might move the cone shaped steel wheels out far enough to clear the calipers.

But they are also about the same price as a couple of Alcoas...

I Posted the info and link to those same RIMS.
Rob stated he had someone in the USA that was near SW Wheels and he was going to test fit them. STEEL 16" RIMS
I'm waiting to hear the outcome.
I need to place an order before I fly out west to get my GMC.

Here is what I posted in the other thread.

After your PM to me I went looking at Southwest Wheels and came across this part number 126202 showing the same sizes as what you posted about your rims in your first post of this thread.

They are only $56.95ea if they are truly the same size as what you posted.

However, if you order 6 they become $51.26ea and with shipping of $108.11 added to the cost of the rims they will be $69.28per rim when all is said and done.

Here is a link to what I found.

Emery;
I copied that list that you had posted and put it up here.

I got some new Alcoas on their recall less than a year ago.
They still have them.

That's my understanding as well. I think the other styles were discontinued and that was widely interpreted that all were discontinued.
