G'day,

I stumbled on to this by accident and thought it was interesting that this was added, I guess even back in the day there were
mechanics that were screwing this up!

Figure 1 on page 9-3 shows how and where to mark the individual parts.

The same information is repeated in MM X-7725 / Section 9 / Page 9-4 and Figure 5 on page 9-5.

Regards,

Are these directions in the factory GMC Manuals? I looked last night couldn't find anything on the lower part of the steering shaft.

Skip,

Did you look in Maintenance Manual X-7625 or X-7725?

They are NOT in X-7425 or X7525.

Hi Rob, another reason for having all the manuals as some have sections that others do not. Guess that is why they call them supplements? B-Dub does us a big favor listing them all.

Chuck,

EXACTLY! I am so pedantic that I bought a set of OEM manuals MM X-7525, X-7625, X-7725, and PB 78Z off eBay BEFORE I even had a GMC!

Those are sitting on the shelf right above the PC LCD screen here in my office. The fact that they're at my finger tips is why I
reference them all the time. Plus that's what I did when customers had questions when I was a field rep for Hamilton Standard.

The NEAT thing about the pdf manuals on Bdub's website is that you can highlight the text, copy, and paste it! You can also search
for stuff using the Find Command in Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

Billy is one of THE GMC Heroes! He puts in heaps of time to help keep these old gals on the road!
