I recently posted that we put our 1978 Royale and Saturn tow car for sale. It is bittersweet to announce we just delivered them to a couple from Peachtree City GA. He is retired Air Force and retired Delta pilot. He has been researching GMCs for awhile.
They are a wonderful couple and stayed in our home for 2 days and nights for flight check training on the GMC systems.

They both are Runners and have completed several marathons. They have spent 6 months hiking the Appalachian trail from Southern end to Maine. Even though he is 75 years old, he looks 55 and she looks young as well.

Thy will be a wonderful addition to the GMC family. He understands that we are just GMC Caretakers to pass on to the next generation.

I will make certain he is aware of the GMCnet. I passed on latest version of the BLack list and advised him to contact members in Georgia.

The other point I wanted to share is the power of the Internet to sell your GMC when it is time. WIX. com provides a great web hosting service. You do not have to know one line of Code to create a great web site . The pages are created using "point and click" with pictures you upload to the site. The cost is minimal for the value received. I recommend adding the WEB-Stats application to your site. You can watch live as viewers look at your site. it note the pages that are being seen, or more importantly, not seen. I made a slight menu modification when I noticed all pages were not being accessed. The city where the viewer is located is noted.

I will leave my site up for awhile should you desire to check it out: Talltexan.net I advertised the site on all the available GMC club and national web sites. I had a verbal agreement in a day and a half with deposit and 4 firm inquiries afterword. I even had an offer at full price over Pay pal, sight unseen from a oil platform worker in the GULF.

I want o thank each of you for your valuable advice for the last 16 years of my ownership. As we continue to travel by car, I will look for the GMCs on the road and say hello.

A bittersweet "see you down the road"

Thanks for sharing. The web page was pretty good. The combined coach and towd was a nice unit.

Alan,

If you have contact information for the new owners, we'd like to put them
in contact with several GMCers, not on the 'net, who live close to them,
and to invite them to join Dixielanders.

Alex,

How did you manage to take over my computer in one fell sweep. Where are
you located and why did you sell your GMC
I am presently in Gold Canyon, AZ in a RV Park where we have had a park
model for the last 7 years and spend usually half of the year here and the
rest of the time somewhere else. Our GMC is presently parked in the back
yard of our home in Merkel, Texas having a rest.
