I was thinking the same thing. It is suppose to be 50 today and then more snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. What I have here on the ground won't melt off before more arrives to add to it.

Kim,

You forgot to ask me when we talked: 73*F right now, forecast to reach
77*F this afternoon and 78*F tomorrow!!! Hallelujah!!!

BUT, back down to 31*F Thursday night! DARN, I wish those Yankees would
keep your Arctic Vortices, or whatever, for themselves!

Besides it being a 3-4 day trip to get there, I have 4 feet of hardpack snow in front of the coach.

It is in the 40s however, so give me another month.

Yes I wish I could go.. Dang work and money

We are parked in downtown St. Louis and it is 75 degrees here. Seems warmer here than at my brothers place in Monroe, La. I am enjoying this while we have it. This kind of weather is good for the soul.

I had my tiller out today.

No, there is no chance I could be starting the garden, I was using it to grind down the pressure ridge that has formed in front of the barn door.
I was able to get the coach out and put enough water on to make it south.
Then we hustled it back in the barn before the coming snow.

Matt (I bet that isn't in the Gravely book anywhere.)

I'm guessing the Gravely is old with a cast iron gear-case!

It is. The only sheet metal is the covers and the smallest fastener is 3/8. The was the new 1972 two wheel that I was working today, but hey, it did it.

So much for spring in Chicago. I spent yesterday afternoon removing and thawing 5" of ice from around my walk-in hangar door with electric tapes and an ice chipper. I finally got my walk-in door open.

Now it is 30 degrees and dropping. Overnight I have received approximately 3" of snow out of the predicted 5" to 9" by 1PM on Wednesday. My electric power has dropped 18 times in the last 2 hours. The telephone company natural gas standby generator located on the front of my property is currently running keeping phone service alive. My cable internet is down. I'm using my neighbor's phone company DSL.

Yes spring is here.

I guess Global Warming hasn't reach you yet.

Sorry for my recent harassment -- you seem to FINALLY be reaching the end
of your rope. You're welcome here whenever you can dig out (IF you bring
Laurie).

Yes, I have plowed a lot of Global Warming this winter and it looks like I'm going to do some more today after the wind dies down today or tomorrow.

My Dixie dog is out running and running in it. He has been out for about 1/2 hour and hasn't stopped running. He was running with the neighbors dog until the neighbor's dog ran out of energy and went back in the house. Finn is going to be sad to see it all go away soon.

We put in a call for Al G. to do fly over and warm it up here but there was not any money in it for him. This state is the wrong party and Illinois next door is broke so Al G. won't come and help us. So no money means no flyover.

Spring will be here soon and for now the GMC is inside staying inside and keeping warm and dry. Well at least dry.

Spring is on it's way.

Ken B,
You're whining about the snow and cold, but you could pack up and move way south to where it is warm and not even leave your County!

I can only move about 100 miles further south before I'd hit the US border so I can't permanently leave the great white north.

I reached the end of my rope with this winter and when I went to tie a knot in it I found an icicle....

Now that the snow has melted a little I can see deer in my yard again...
