Hello,

I've seen the drawings from various sites of the GMC with lots of sizes
on them. This made me wonder, if anyone ever invested some (or better a
lot of) time to create a 3D CAD model of those drawings?

There are some nice 3D motorhome in Google's Sketch-Up warehouse. Unfortunately, none of them GMC motorhomes.

TurboSquid has a 23 foot version. Exterior only. A number of inaccuracies that I can see and a bit pricey for what many models on the 3D market bring.

Nice find. Nicely done, but not really what I am after. I wonder how
long something like that took.

I like the color scheme they used. Interesting variation on the 1978 GM "Palm Beach" color scheme. It could easily be done with other colors.

The link was posted on GMCnet before. I bookmarked for reference. It
would be interesting to input into a finite element aero modeling app
and see how it performs. Walmarts WAVE truck showed up on Yahoo
recently. The cab geometry looks vaguely familiar to this GMCer.

Looks a lot like Luigi Colani's work, which started back in 1977 with
his 1st truck design (iirc) followed by 7 or more trucks after that.
Nice never the less.

I ran across another one in turbosquid

I'd really like to have the chassis in Sketchup.

G'day,

As noted on the web page this model t is based on a GMC and I like a lot of the things that were altered, however, the overall
effect created by the more rounded / curvy body doesn't look as good as a GMC to me.

I like the small roof hump on that one. Not that you need the extra head
room but it is aesthetically pleasing.

looks pretty close to me to a normal 26' coach. If anyone wants to take a chance on it I can likely convert the file to a more useable
igs or stp file (however no guarantee, I work in CAD and know that conversions are not always trouble free).
