Well, everyone else does it, so here's my trip report: 400 miles round trip from Americus to Panama City, Florida and home. Yes, I own 2 condos on the beach in PC, but they are both rented to snowbirds. We had a no-event trip, which is good for us. Stayed at St. Andrews State park which is walking distance to one of our condos. I'm on the board of directors and had to attend a monthly meeting.

I blew a fuse trying to keep the DW happy on her computer. Apparently, my cigarette inverter was too much for the current setup. She had to be contented with the iPad.

One of the reasons we like our GMC is that it allows us to take our very very small dogs along. This trip they fought like two cats in a croaker sack. Not sure why...maybe it is a "small turf" thing.

Used less than 1/2 qt. oil and about 40 gallons of gas. Not towing. Not too shabby.

DW is ready to go to Maine in it to see her mother. Not in this life. Maybe Maine, but "hold the mother-in-law." Smile

As a matter of fact, no. The Buick goes to St. Simons Island (GA Coast) in April. I'm working fast and furious to get it ready for the trip. Probably rent a U-haul box truck and trailer to take it down and, depending on how it behaves during the wedding, might drive it home.

So far - new Coker whitewall tires and new commercial 6 V. Battery. I'm doing some stuff tomorrow.

Had a little help from Ken Henderson this morning. The clutch had rusted and stuck to the flywheel. We pulled out of the garage and headed it down the hill. With a fresh battery it started in low gear and after a long trip around the block the rusted joint finally broke loose. This has no GMC relevance except for my "helper". Smile
