$25000 ....Without the car its just another cheap old engine that needs rebuilding constantly!

Keeper,

You're right about the part about not being with the car. But you're
wrong on the word cheap. The bare block is worth 3 to 4k before
you send it to me for resurfacing and restamping to match the car.
Now, as of last May, I am out of that business, but before that I
was the premiere man in the country on resurfacing and restamping
Chevrolet engine blocks.
At the same time, if you had the car, that block would not pass judging.
Chevrolet Gang-stamped the VIN number and that one is obviously
hand stamped. Also the pad on the right front does not match the surface
at the edge of the head. Actually, it has no surface definition at all.
Possibly
a victim of "Mr. Belt-Sander". Just my formerly semi-Professional opinion.

I did not say it wasn't valuable just cheap.Remember Chevrolet is the bottom of the GM line and poorly made compared to a Cadillac proper.
