Does anyone need the beige dinette and sofa seats and table from a '78 Eleganza? This is the sofa that has the back that mounts to the wall and folds out to a bunk that hangs from the ceiling. I have a set that, that needs a good cleaning but is in pretty good shape.
They're in Santa Cruz and free to anyone that can pick them up. I just can't store them anymore.

We bought a piece of thick foam from a foam dealer, measured from the
sofa seat to just below the window, and half the length of the sofa, then
had it cut at an angle through the length, to make two pcs with a
comfortable back angle. Linda then upholstered them, and Whoopie, there
it is. When the sofa is used for sleeping, the back cushions are stacked
on the driver's seat. Ooops, gotta go, I'll measure it and post approx
uncut dimensions later today.

Ken,
When we did the total interior on our 1977 coach I removed the bunk bed portion of the couch. I had the base recovered and extra support and foam added to make it a sleeping mattress and then the back was 3 cushions that we remove and put in the passengers seat when sleeping. In this picture you can see how the back cushions were made by Margrette Guske who did all the work for us. If you have other question please ask!

Follow-up note with measurements.
The foam block was 16" x 16" 36". We had it cut at an angle, so that the
cuts were
about 9" on one edge and 6" on the other, resulting in two cushions with
a sloping back, 9 1/2" deep at the bottom and 6 1/2" deep at the top.
Our sofa was about 72" long.

On a related topic: Has anybody ever reproduced the folding cushion (sofa into bed) that i believe came stock with the Birchhaven's pull-out bed? (Ours looked original when we got it, but it was too beat-up and we had to toss it. now we need something like this again).
2 pieces of foam, upholstered and sewn together so they'd fold up into an "L" shape, for a sofa back; or unfolded flat (when you pull out the bed), to sleep 2 people.
The design is simple... Just not sure of the stitch-work involved, to describe to the upholstery guy, or to try it ourselves...
If anybody has a picture that'd be super helpful... We've got to get this done within a few weeks... Thanks(!)
