Oh wow, can't wait. When we bought our gmc we knew nothing about the conventions. We found out through Arch and decided to attend one in Michigan. We are what you might call "sociable" and we had an absolute ball. That was in Sept. 06 just after I retired. Have only missed one since. This one was "shaky" for us but after getting good reports from my scans last week the doctor told us to plan to be there. Jim and Theresa Dahl have bought a different coach. They had planned to have their gmc in the parking lot for sale while they sleep in the newer coach. Well, they say we can put that coach in vendor row, next to Jim, and sleep in it during the convention. That let's us drive the car to Tx. We have known this couple for a long time. We appreciate them doing this for us. For Sale signs will be on it so come by and take a few looks. I know it has a new paint job.
We hope to see a large group of our friends at the convention in March. If you are a sociable person who loves learning about gmc s then this is the place for you.
See you there.
Dan

Dan,
I will be looking forward to meeting you, Teri and all of the others as
this will be our first convention. I will have a pick-up trailer of GMC
parts from Jim Brown of the GMC Mountainaires group who passed away last
August.
Unfortunately we won't arrive until Sunday afternoon.

Until then!

Ok, great Bruce. Make sure you let me know who you are. We have an absolute blast at these gatherings. See you there. Even though I seem to have lost my appetite for ice cream we will be serving. I think my love for m&m's candy has doubled.
John, see you this Fall. Maybe you can stay longer in Wisconsin than you normally stay.

I'm in an absolute thrash to get ready. Took much too big a bite of the project bug over the winter. Carolyn isn't thrilled that everything isn't done but it will be before we leave.

Really looking forward to seeing everyone again...and a bunch of new folks.

Kerry, are you going to follow any of the trace down with eastern states? Tupelo or Starkville be good. My son lives at the beginning, close to Roger. Just did not work out for Teri and me to ride along this time.

You do not know Dan's driving. He will do it on one day. 100 mph and 7.5 hours later he will be there. Or if he slows down 75 mph, 10 hours later he will be there.

Matt, Teri and I are richly blessed. I can not post the names of other GMCers that have helped us. I posted Dahl's because I hope to help them sell it and it is already in Texas. We will have it parked with Applied GMC so I can help Jim. Teri and I really wanted to do the trace but it just can't happen.
Ken, you speak pretty much the truth. Montgomery would have been a one day's drive in the coach for me. My brother lives in Monroe, la. So we plan to go that way and spend a nite or two there. I wish you were coming. I hear the cabins are not close to full. Two or three men could split cabin costs and make it a cheap stay. Right on the grounds. Kitchens included.

Hi, Dan.
So is this a "gentle hint" to double up on your M&M's supply from Kingsland? LOL.
Lanny B. coming tomorrow for a few days. Will give him regards from you, but I'm sure he will finish the supply here. Not to worry, HEB is nearby. :)

Well Billy, I may have to stash a few m&m's behind the ice cream. I have to be careful with any sweets. Cancer patients must go lightly. I am consuming lots of raw brockley and dip right now. If I do good I get rewarded. Dark chocolates are really good.
Can't wait to see you. Your man was loose and a little wild in Branson. I don't expect any of that in Montgomery. Very Happy

Dan,
I'll make sure they're dark chocolate, & won't bring too many. Don't want to hurt my dear friend.
It's too late re. Mike being wild, as I've already corrupted him. We now have matching Tiger sunglasses. :) Just got home from a week long honeymoon cruise. 'Nuff said. Hugs to all.

Thanks Billie. A few soft peanut butter ones go a long way and might even be better for me than dark chocolate. Why I misspelled your name after so many years I don't know. Even caught myself misspelling my wife's name today, don't mention that.
Ok Kerry. We don't normally run with anyone one on long trips but did want to take the Natchez with these guys. We have done most of it on our own already, but the company would be good at a guarenteed slow pace. Now we are taking back roads through Arkansas to Monroe, then more two lanes all the way to the convention. Unbelievable mileage in this hybrid at 60 mph. And, the company will be the best.
Can't wait to see everyone again. Been a long six months for us.

Dan,

Think of yourself as fortunate. Since the radiation got to my taste buds, I
don't like anything very sweet. The wife got a BIG bag of M&Ms to try to
get some of the weight I lost back. Didn't work.
I now do eat ice cream if offered, but I don't have any late nite snacks.
There are some advantages. I don't have to open doors, I just turn sideways
and slide through the crack. LOL
Hang in there, you'll just keep getting better.

Gary, I lost weight but Teri got most of it back on me. I gained a pound on the doc scales just this Friday. It all seems to depend on how hard the treatments hit. I am sure there may be more long days ahead like you have endured but I don't think you were ever a short fat guy like me anyway. Your loss shows more than mine.
We miss you at the conventions. I always get a lot of good mileage from you when I get in the mood to harass someone. Never have seen you drive your coach so why don't you just crawl in the back and let your beautiful, much younger, chauffeur bring you to warmer grounds? You have been there before. I am sure it was in Texas we all layed on the ground while the reaction arm was swapped out on your coach. I am not sure who did the work. Too many of us lined up behind to see what happened and form our opinions.
Come on. If something breaks I promise others will fix it for you this time. BUT keep your eyes on your radiator fill extension, I never did get one.
Your friend, Very Happy
Dan
