I need to patch one of the window and roof vent holes in my coach. Anyone know the thickness of the aluminum skin? Is it the same thickness in both places?

Thanks,

Steve

Yes Steve. All one piece.

Idk the exact thickness but any thickness of alum sheet which will conform EASILY to the contour can be bonded in place from underneath. 3m 8115 or similar metal epoxy will bond and seal the patch

Todd,
Will 3M-8115 stand up to heat if used for a small patch on a muffler?
Trying to find an alternative to $600 for a Porsche 914 2.0L muffler. Car is rarely driven.

Thanks

Rob,
Thank you for the quick response.. That product sounds like it will do the job.

Now if only I could get some advice about power steering pump and steering box in my GMC. Topic posted yesterday.

Thanks again.

Thanks again, Rob
Like Gene, my exhaust has been attacked by metal moths. My price tag is
just over $1000... THAT hurts a Scotsman!!

If you muffler is rusted through it needs to be replaced. Any surface patch will be very temporary as the inside is far worse than what you see on the outside.

Now don't be bringing common sense into this....<VBG>

Pelican wants big bucks:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/911M/POR_911M_EXHmuf_pg4.htm#item26

After the initial sticker shock, and some further looking, I see they can
be purchased for less money...but it's still gonna hurt!
