Yea, the pins on the back are susceptible to loosing up or even breaking off. I ended up getting a whole salvaged speedo from Jim Bounds and transferring the board over to my existing speedo. I wanted to retain the original odometer readings. Ended up having to swap out the gauge cluster as well due to loose/missing pins.
