I'm not sure if anyoen can fix the following bad links or not.

But I thought I let someone know that I found some links that are not working on the following page.

http://gmcmotorhome.info/rear.html#BAGS

The bad links I found so far are:

SHUTOFF VALVES DANGER
http://www.chaparral-co.com/valves.html

Ragusa sells a temporary replacement airbag rod, complete with rubber pads
and hardware for $38.00.(RV-08)
http://www.ragusarv.addr.com/

Tony (Ontario Canada)
Marie and I are blessed to have had a 2nd chance to buy our farm.
Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage.
Our 1970 Ultravan #520 has an Olds Toronado 455 in back.

The one for the chaparral air bag valves has not been working for several years as Byron Maxwell passed several years ago. Valves like that are available from Jim K.

As for the air bag rod go here.
http://www.ragusarv.com
go to “tools” then scroll down to RV-08 air bag replacement rod.

You can make a steel rod from threaded 3/4" rod. I bought it at Ace Hardware.
My bag blew out while parked at my home in Santa Fe a few years back. I found a new old stock bag in Denver but that was over 400 miles away.
I used a section of rod (I can check the length if you want me to) and four nuts and washers. Just stick the rod between the bogie arms and tighten the bolts at each end.
I probably hold the record for driving without an air bag. About 450 miles. It rode fairly well but when I went over bumps the GMC swayed from side to side quite a bit.
I joked with my wife because instead of bouncing up and down her boobs swayed right and left!
