I am looking to find the manufactures specified "kerb weight" all i can find is the GVWM
what i need is the weight of the vehicle with all fuel and water on board but no passengers
if this is documented by the factory somewhere can someone point me to it
i need this info for the engineer to register here
we are trying to get the GVM lowered so i can register it on a car licence.
if we know what the factory kerb weight is as i remove stuff i can weigh these items and subtract
I need to get the fully loaded weight to below 4499 kilograms = 9918.59 pounds
this should not be too difficult as when it was weighed for shipping it was 9047 pounds but all tanks were only partially filled

900 pounds is around 130-150 gallons, a GMC has 60 of gas and 45 or less of
water, so unless you are weighed with the black tank full as well, I'd
think you were OK.
But I don't even play an expert on YouTube.
Plato seems wrong to me today.

| I know some things are spelled differently in AU than the US, so the metric you are looking for is CURB weight.
It is in the Operating Manual for your year/make/model and not the Maintenance Manual.
My 1973 23' has a curb weight of 8,600 pounds. The curb weight for a 26' of that year was 9,600 pounds.
The gross weight went up in subsequent years, but I don't know about curb weight.
You can get the Operating Manual for your year model at http://www.bdub.net/factory-manuals.html scroll down to "Operator's Manuals" and download the one for your year model.
Curb weight does NOT include the weight of water in either the fresh water tank OR the holding tank, but does include full fuel tanks (as well as oil, transmission fluid, engine coolant, windshield washer fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and whatever else it needs to operate on the road).
