Clark,
It is really better if you do not.
This forum is a mirror of a mail list. About half work the mail list and half the forum. So, if you insert a picture, the mail list people will never see it. If you insert a picture and someone (like me) is working the forum with his smartphone tethered to a laptop (there are other ways to have expensive bandwidth) then as soon as he touches that thread, he has burned that much bandwidth for nothing. The worst is those that put a picture in the sigfile as that kills the download speed stops the effort to read the thread. If, on the other hand, you insert a link to said pictures (be they in the GMC photos or not) then if someone needs or wants to see them, he can do it when it will work best for him.
Speaking of sigfiles, we are a group that likes to help others, but that means we have to know who you are, what coach we are looking at and where. So, if you put a sigfile in the control panel that has your real name (needed so that when we meet we know who you are), what year and version your coach is, and some sort of geographic reference, that will help us help you. There is a whole lot of knowledge here that can be tapped just by asking. Sometimes there are other hands that can show up too.

| When you are tethered to an expensive bandwidth source, turn off pictures in your browser. In IE9, go to Tools > Internet options > Advanced tab, scroll down to Multimedia and uncheck the Show pictures box.
Don't discourage people from using the img feature of the forum. It is really handy for many.
