Earlier in last year I had asked if anyone had any information or had used the product BG 109.
When I bought my coach 2 years ago I was told that the previous original owner Daniel Bowers)had rebuilt the engine but no receipts were available from the second party.
I did a compression test on 6-3-2013 with the following results:
Compression Test 131600mi
1 120 2 115
3 105 4 115
5 125 6 110
7 125 8 120
AVG-116.875
When I serviced my coach for the winter I added a can of BG 109 and drove it around for ten minutes to get the engine warmed up for an oil change. 6 weeks later (had to borrow the compression gauge back from my brother) I took another reading with the following results:
Compression Test 11-25-13
Added BG109
1 125 2 130
3 120 4 140
5 125 6 120
7 135 8 125
AVG-127.5
The average compression reading increased by 10psi. I was amazed at this. This is only one test and am wondering if anyone else has tried the BG 109 and got similar or different results.
By the way my elevation is just under 5000 feet.

Rob, to be honest I don't recall the details of the first test. I would
rather think that I did have the engine up to temp.
I could redo the test with the engine cold as well as with the engine at
temp to see how they compare to the first testing I did but I don't think
that would solve anything.

As I checked out BG's web site, the testimonies all claim to have
increased compression after using the product but again no verifiable
proof..

I'm a retired mechanic who has used and still use BG Products.
When I was moving up here to get married and live I purchased CASES and CASES of their products to be sure I would have them.
Now, if you want a real bang for your buck - buy their Engine purge Kit.
It will clean:
1) The bottom end of your engine with the engine flush in the oil
2) It will clean everything in the fuel system where ever the gas goes and it also cleans carbon build up on the top of pistons and even the valves - with the 44K in your fuel.
I use the engine flush kit on any used vehicle I purchase.
BTW - the only Vehicle in my 53 yr old life that I have purchased new was my 2000 Harley Softial.
I know their products work first hand!!!
When in business I have stood behind their products to my customers for years.
Here is a picture of my last engine flush kit sitting near my computer.

Tony (Ontario Canada) Marie and I are blessed to have had a 2nd chance to buy our farm. Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage. Our 1970 Ultravan #520 has an Olds Toronado 455 in back.
