Interesting. He told us to shift down in order to go UP hill, because
it creates higher pressures that help prevent slippage. For some reason
manually shifting down was better than letting it automatically shift down.

Guess we'll just have to ask him to clarify. He's done presentations on
this topic a few times. Maybe Gene could get a copy and put it somewhere useful
and we could quit pestering the poor guy on the same topics over and over.
