G'day,
I just found out that Dan's cancer has stopped growing which means the chemo is working.
That's damn good reason to celebrate a Happy New Year!
Regards,
Rob M.

Good News!
(Wait - wasn’t the gospel the original “good news”?) - sorry that really is off topic.
Dan - this next year is going to see your headliner completed. That means you’ll have the energy to do it, and therefore, your cancer will be high-tailing it out of town. Low energy still gives you the strength to hug. Give your beautiful bride / nurse / warden a big one. She’s a keeper, and I expect she plans to keep you for a while longer too!
Now while you are at it, I’m a big believer in the power of hugs. My mother was the original practitioner of hug therapy. It helped her through very trying times, and now she’s passed that along to my sisters and me. I believe it works - and I’ll never believe anything else! I often prescribe hugs, and never hear a complaint. I remember in Oklahoma City, when bringing my coach home, that the windshield wipers were in sad repair and we had to jury rig something, I was applying Rain-X and it felt like I was hugging my Palm Beach with each caressing swipe of the towel to the windshield. I know this helped us get home. (Content)
Happy New Year (I’m counting on a better one than last year) to Dan and Teri, all your kids and grandkids, kin and those you love. Also to those who love you. And to all my GMC friends, their loved ones, and those who love them. Now we have covered a good portion of this world, let’s make it so.

Comes with the chemo.also happens with my tongue so problems speaking. Teri likes that part ok. :d I have had no sickness with chemo, just lack of energy.

congratulations Dan!
BTW, take a serious look at a low carb diet. there is some evidence out there that cancer is often a metabolic disorder where the cancer cells feed of glucose and a low carb diet slows the growth down.

Since someone brought it up, yeah, low carb is worth a look, but not for
all. It seems to be amazing for some brain cancers, and make things worse
for some skin cancers. Do some of your own research (there isn't much money
in diet changes, so they tend not to be researched). For example, the Nobel
prize was awarded for figuring out that cancer had a weird glucose
dependent metabolism back in the 1950s, but very little research on
treating with ketogenic (probably the word you want to search on) diets has
been done.
Also, there is some reason to think time of day matters for chemo (at least
if you are a mouse (which are nocturnal), afternoon is much better (but, I
don't put much faith in mouse models).
Best wishes and good luck,
Ron
