Hello all,
We recently started inspecting our water heater. Never used it since we got the coach, but we will be needing both an element and anode as they are both shot. The tank seems to be in good shape (no rust inside, outside looks pretty good).
Electric element:
Does anybody have a part number for the electric element? I have seen mention of a 220V element here in the forum, but I am not sure what the specs are on the original element and if we should get a 220V or 110V. The element is about 7.5 inches long, it is held on with 4 screws to the tank with a round gasket that mates it to the tank.
Anode:
Does anybody have a part number for this as well? The original one has a 1 inch pipe thread but it is completely deteriorated so I am not sure how long it should be. Plus, what material should it be?
This is it for now. Thank you very much!

If you go get a 240 volt one, just get one rated at 4 times the normal 120 volt one. I suggest that you go to Home Depot, or some where like that, and buy something around 4000 watts at 240 volts. It will run around 1000 watts at 120 volts and you should never have to replace it again.
I learned that trick from Emery a few years back.
Also they make two mounting types. One bolts in and one screws in. If you have to 4 bolt type, you can buy the screw in type with an adapter that is also available at Home Depot.
