2 inch front spacers have worked well for those that have the front end in half way good condition.
since the wheels will be out further, if your tie rods and knuckles are worn along with a loose lower A frame, you'll experience some slippage of tires as it will cause additional toe in.
The late Bobby Moore was involved in this unit.
Bobby proved to me that it would not shorten the life of the front bearings along with several people that understood the front end. BOBBY ran up 120,000 miles without packing the front bearing. OU NEED TO REALIZ THAT HE KNEW HOW TO DO THINGS RIGHT.
WE have sold few hundred of these with minimal complaint.
If you understand that when we started using the radial tire in mid 1980, we started experiencing handling problems.
Radial tires love to climb the ruts, so the front ride on one side and the rear in the other.
There will be times when the rear and the front will climb the rut simultaneously and you'll be in the other lane.
You'll experience this on asphalt roads more.
I believe that if everything is set properly, you'll find the spacers do not help in handling as much.
Front caster over3 1/2 degrees, camber 0, and toe in/out 0 is the new standard people should do.
Most of you have not been doing this and are using the old specs that was written before radial tires came popular.
Without knowing what must be done to get that 3 1/2 + Caster, you'll never be able to get your alignment shop to get close to that.
When we supply the front end parts we explain how to use the off set upper grommets to reach the 3 1/2 caster.
I run the spacers on both of my coaches as I have not upgraded the front yet.
If you think the spacers are overpriced, you do not know what it takes to put in 16 holes and press in the studs and make sure the adapters are hub centered.
Suggest you look for used ones.
