I am in dire need (OK, not that dire, but I really want) of an automatic transmission governor valve out of a Subaru (1983-1990) for which I would trade for something out of my parts collection which is a few things), or my cash collection (which is fewer things). A simple referral would help as well. I am building this car for my daughter as a first car. Thanks guys!

No, it sits under a domed cover and looks like this:

Randy, Do you have any idea if later years will fit? Local pull-a-part has previous generation Forester in it's collection. If the same part, I could attempt to pull it or you, if it quits raining. Men's Mall is muddy.
Relocating, so that also affects my ability to do this quickly.
Let me know.

No, only 85-93 will work. The later ones use an electronic controller. These things are about impossible to find. The car is really quite close to being done and I may have to junk it if I can't find the part.

Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled.

I'll just keep it in mind for the next Men's Mall trip. Moving first of year. New area has a large Pull-A-Part yard.

I find them fun and entertaining, especially since nothing necessary, just interesting.
