Just saw a 'trailer' adverstising the new 'Anchorman' movie. They're all siting int he back of a GMC going down the interstate.
No one behind the wheel.
'Don't worry, says Ron Burgundy' I have it on cruise control' The next scene is the GMC rolling over with them in it!
Arrgghhh!

Reminds me of some woolgathering I was doing, on what improvements to make
if one was going to bring back the design, the way wmc attempted.
I thought to myself that makingnit capable of surviving a rollover would be
excellent, but how? Further thought suggested getting alcoa to use their
heavy forge press and make some bulkheads...
But that would be very expensive, unless you could get some serious volume
going.

School buses can handle rollovers, it cannot be too hard.
Plato seems wrong to me today.

Someone on the GMC photo site posted some pictures of GMCs after the wrecks/fires - may have been one of Ken H's albums. There were some pictures of a coach that had gone of the road and rolled. IIRC the top was torn off, the driver ejected, and the co-pilot was left sitting in her seat unharmed.
That was a miracle. Designing the coach to obviate the need for divine intervention would be prudent. I've often wondered about the tradeoff made for that great GMC panoramic view and the lack of pillars at the corners. Makes me drive more carefully.
