That table slides in to a holder that would normally be fastened to the dash. It doesn't look like the holder was ever on that dash. No visible screw holes.

That table was the original one between the front seats. The cleat was mounted on the dash just under the right of the instrument panel. The table you have now was not a factory install. The prior owner must have wanted a free standing unit.

In the video you line the table up several times with where it would go. the mount on the dash is (or wood be) under the right side of the instrement panel.
there appears to be a black hole uner the padded part of the instrement panel (could be a shadow) that is where it would locate.

On my 77 the screws went up into that padded part. so when the bracket was removed the holes do not show. the panel on mine is broken and would need to be fixed If I had the correct table.

the leg folds so that if you need to get into the hatch you can just fold the table down. you then leave it there no ned to find a place to stow it while working on the engine.

Once you replace everything that is attached to something else. It will all be fixed.

Ah. .That makes sense. Half my dash is taken apart. The wood face panel is
sitting in the passenger seat, and there's a piece of the dash that goes
under the steering wheel currently sitting on the deck lid of my Catalina.
Perhaps the fastening point for the table is part of that lower dash piece.

I have a non-stock table? Woot! :)

Yep, the responders are correct. The slide on the front left of the table slides into a similar slide on the bottom of the dash under the radio and heater controls and the leg snaps down. I still use mine.
