G'day,

Here's a couple of good deals for your GMC:

1) AdventureRV has the MaxxAir roof fans on sale for $169.99 (RRP $329.99). I installed one of these in Double Trouble and we love
it! The design permits leaving it open with the fan running or off in a driving rainstorm and water doesn't get in.

Is the harbor freight solar panel kit for $133.00 a good deal. Also, do you think this is a good way to keep the batteries charged over the winter while in storage with a combiner?

The best delivered price for a maxxair with remote that I found was on ebay but I opted to go with the 2nd-best, Amazon Prime $285.

I contacted the vendor on Rob's link but they wouldn't cut a deal on the remote model.

Actually I bought three remote units from them when they were on sale, I can't remember what I paid for them but I believe it was in
the $285 area.

The remote unit is really great; I've got the remote mounted on the wall just next to the entry door

Based on gmcnet's well-deserved love for the maxxair, I had JimB install 2 on each coach, one in the bath and one in the rear sleeping quarters. Where I screwed up was in the Birchaven as it has the oem 3x5 pull-down kids bunk (or storage tray) overhead which makes the controls hard to reach.

Sorry Mate,

I'm back in Australia so no pics. It mounted between the door and the large window on the passenger side. There a section of wall
that's about 3 inches wide. Go out to your coach and you'll figger it out.
