Now that Linda is back in shape to travel in the GMC to the GMCMI rallies. We look forward to seeing so many great, and active people enjoying life each day that we have. Dan and Teri are two of the many that are a treat to watch. These kind of people are enjoying life by doing things for themselves. And trying in the process, to make others a little happier going down this road of life we're on. And thank goodness for the advancements in the treatments of cancer, and other issues that are out there. Dan, and Teri are positive minded people. And this is important for them, and all in the club that are facing similar issues. We need to support all of them.I haven't been watching the form closely the last few day's. So I don't know all the details. And I don't know if I want too. I do know that whenever religion, or politics enter into any form. It's not a good thing. People have DEEP opinions on both. And that can be great in the appropriate venues. Missionaries go out and
do good thing's in the world. I applaud them. I just don't think this form is the venue for displaying your DEEPEST beliefs. I don't mean to make this sound like I'm picking on Howard. He has some great input on this form. And I thank him for that. But, If we all put something like his (All is well with my Lord ), (this could be on any other topic also ) after each post. It could create some real issues on the form. I think it's great that all is well. Howard is showing that he feels good with his Lord, and his life. More people need to feel that way.
In short. Respect those around us. Support those with trying issues. Let them know we CARE. And leave your opinions / thoughts of religion and politics at home. It all comes down to showing your respect to others. Just my 2 cents worth. Thanks, Bob Dunahugh

Thank you for your input.
Sorry if I offend you and others with my signature.
I'm making a statement as to my beliefs.
It's only how I think and try to live my life.
I'm one of the biggest screw ups and a sinner you would ever meet.
My signature is attached to all of my letters and emails not just on the GMC site.
Please hit delete when you see my emails
Love you all and your input.
I have learned so much from each and ever one of you.
I'm truly thankful for your input.
Now go and take on the day
Happy Thanksgiving

People have strong feelings about religion, about politics, about economic policy, about health care, and on and on. If you eliminate any mention of any of those strong issues on this list - go back and look - and you'll eliminate a significant percentage of posts. I have to say that Howard's signature is pretty benign compared to some of the political rants we've seen on the list.
One option might be to moderate all posts and reject any that mentioned anything about religion or politics. Impossible to manage with the volume of posts.
Or just confine all posts to GMC content. Also impossible. We are family, and need to support each other and share thoughts and feelings about struggles with cancer and losses of pets and friends.
One option might be to change everyone's behavior so no one ever says anything that might offend sensitivities or sensibilities. Try herding cats.
One option might be to just use the delete key without reading. Gonna miss a lot of good stuff mixed in with the off-topic.
One option might be to celebrate diversity and accept people/family for who they are even if they worship or vote or dress or act different than you. Yeah, that one may be impossible too.

Very well said Jay, all of it, not just the quote.

Another option is to look at it and if you don't like it, move on.

It seems some want to say whatever (politics/religion) they want, but have little tolerance for dissension.

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

As a Christian and A Canadian living in a free country I have the right to say that I am a Christian, I have the right to say All is right with my lord. YOU have the right to agree or disagree. YOU have the right to say I would prefer you not say those things.
Keep on doing your thing. whatever it maybe. Just don't expect that everone will agree with you, or do as you ask.

Be Happy with your choices and by ALL means speak of your beliefs before they are taken from you.

I'm with you!. Leave your opinions/thoughts of religion and politics at home. I do have definite points -of - view on my religion and my politics but they are entirely separate from my interest in the GMC Motorhome and the GMC community. Please do not muddy the waters!

It's mine to state
"All is well with my Lord"
Bob you and others to reject
It's on all my out going emails here and for all to all to see and will stay.
Thank you for your in put.
I too have traveled the world and served my country not in the USMC.
I was in Germany when the Berlin Wall went up serving in the US Army.
Major wake up call for this young troop.
I do understand the freedom we have here in the United States.
Freedom of speech being on the top of my list.
You are welcome to HIT the deletion button when you see my emails.
You picked a good time to send this email two weeks out from the celebration of our SAVIORS birth.
I'm surprised to be attract on this forum.
Some how I thought it only happened to others.
Naive me for thinking so.
But then our Lord states that in my bible.
May God bless you
Marry Christmas
Thank You
Howard
PS Bob yes we are members of GMCMI and other GMC motor home clubs
I'm not sure what that and how many cars and toys we have has to do with my signature?

All is well with my Lord

Howard has some good input to the form. We seem to agree on many issues. I think Howard is a good person. And has done nothing wrong. I'd like to meet him someday at a rally. But I don't think he's a member of GMCMI.
> I just got back from India, and China on business. Hate China. Because they have learned that I'm not a tourist. I get followed everywhere. Generally by 2 little guy's with green uniforms. They seem to think I don't notice their presence. All Westerners are stupid in their minds. And the hotel rooms are bugged for video, and sound. Even the bathrooms.
> So this e-mail is dated. I want to clarify my e-mail that I sent out earlier. You seem to feel that my e-mail was to implement censorship of what someone says. And that my train of thought is how we end up losing our freedoms. That is simply not the case. Freedom of speech is very important to keeping our freedoms. I've been in 67 countries around the world. I've had to go to China a lot lately, to get jobs back to the US and Canada. Promise. I understand freedoms, and how they can be taken away. Way more then you can imagine. People that live in the US, and Canada have been very sheltered from what is going on in the rest of the world. And I thank God that I live here EVERY DAY.
> We keep church, and state issues vary separated in both Canada, and the US. In EVERY country that I've been in. Where religion gets intermingled with government. Personal freedoms are LOST. ( I think that's why I may get a little more sensitive than others about religion, because of this exposure. I apologize for that. ) The point was simple in my mind. There is an appropriate time, and place to bring topics up, or show support for a cause. You certainly don't talk about sex education on a business form. Or bring up politics on a Bible study group forum. I used to be on a car form. Religion seemed to keep cropping up in little way's. And the fights would start. Howard has his, All is well with my Lord. That's great that he is. I'm happy for him. But it's on every e-mail. How about just once a day. I could understand that. He seems to have a faith that is very important to him. We could all use more of that. I sometimes put after my name. 78 Royale, 4 YENKO's. (
There a car that GM, and Yenko Chevrolet made in the 60' that are now valued at from $125,000. for each of the two 1966's, $180.000. for the 1967, and I just turned down an offer of $230,000. for my 1969. My car's have been on the covers of magazines. And featured in TV shows. And I'm very involved with them at track events. ) But I don't always list them with my name. Others do this same thing with their cars on the form. At Least it's of a similar topic. Tires, and engines. If for some reason someone was offended by my putting the 4 Yenko tag line on there after my name. That's fine, I'd drop it. Others could have something political as a tag line. Or bring up Ala, Boota, and so on. Or if someone finished with. Praise be to Ala. How do you think that would go over. Would you like that one? What's the difference? Their both religious in nature. It's a belief. Or a religious sight. And finishing with, All is well with my GMC after their name. It's way off topic. Thus,
I don't think appropriate. Or, All is well with me and the devil. It's another belief. There was an e-mail that stated, if you don't like something. Then hit the delete button. That in and of itself is a form of forested censorship, isn't it. I DO NOT care about anyone's religion of choice on a GMC motorhome forum. But it is refreshing to hear that someone speaks up to show they do have a religious belief. And aren't afraid to show it. We all have our own thing's that we're into. I go to the GMC forum for GMC talk, and information. And my YENKO forum for Yenko chat. That's why there are so many forums out there. You don't go and mix up the library's card catalog to make a statement.
> What did upset me. Was when Dan Grigg said that he was sorry that his cancer was causing a problem on the form. That was sad. I don't know if you go to the rallies. Or are a member of GMCMI. Linda and I try to go to everyone. She's in a wheel chair. I had to widen the door in our GMC by 7 inches. It takes a lot of effort for us to go. But it's worth it to see everyone. Plus seeing Dan and Teri with their enthusiasm for the club. And to just enjoy life as they do.
> Bottom line. I think it's IMPORTANT that we show PROPER RESPECT to those around us in anyway we can. No matter their race, religion, or any of their personal beliefs. As to my religious preference. I've been a Catholic all my life. Went to Catholic schools. And have never crammed my beliefs down on anyone else. It's a part of my personal life. I'm 67, served in the USMC, and recognize that life is very short. And showing respect for others, beliefs, and in having an open dialogue for a better understanding of all Bob Dunahugh
