Here's what I did today.
1) Open black tank drain (nothing "black/stinky" in it).
2) Turn on freshwater pump.
3) Turn bathroom HOT faucet on.
4) Let pump run until only an occasional burble from hot faucet.
5) Do same for cold faucet.
6) Repeat for kitchen sink.
7) Disconnect toilet feed.
8) Run pump until occasional bubbles come from toilet feed.
9) Hook up ~ 15 psi air to city water feed.
10) Pump system until NOTHING came from toilet feed (hopefully water tank empty).
I assume (yeah, I know about this) that most any water left is very minimal and won't do damage.
I have pink stuff to pour into toilet, shower, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink drains. I also know about the filter underneath all the rear bed and hope that won't freeze before I decide to pull all that apart for access.
What might I have missed?

Don't forget to open the drain on the fresh water tank and also on the water heater.
Blowing air through is not going to get the water out of the heater and pumping water won't get it all out of the fresh water tank.

I use a repurposed vacuum pump to drain the hot water heater. Connect it to the drain, connect hose to pump, turn on air compressor and let it do the heavy lifting.
Runs long enough to totally drain all the water lines. Worked in the Winters of Virginia, should also work in Mississippi.
