Summary: Dana painted the headliner stuff and I pulled out the rear
couches. Special apearance by the alternator.

At the end I've got a question about how to properly fasten wood to
fiberglass.

We are fond of saying that our aluminum and fiberglass coaches won't rot...
That's only true of the bodies! :) those cabinets and bath modules can
disintegrate!

Robin and Dana,

The paint looks great! It may be a budget fix, but it sure looks better than droopy saggy vinyl. Let’s hope that the cardboard doesn’t droop overnight.

The empty hose mystery hose is the heater hose that wraps all the way around into the bath. I think it’s of dubious value, and the booster fan that it’s attached to sucks power - if you are living off of 12v.

I’m very interested in the rear of the Palm Beach. Mine had been altered for a full time bed. I wanted the couches, so I bought a set from Tom Hampton and plopped them down on whatever was there. My blanket box (?) Pillow cabinet, whatever is in bad shape too. I don’t think it’s leaky windows as much as condensation that causes the rot, but that’s just my opinion. I think my Beloved PO installed some kind of fiberglass and steel box on top of the Onan and the water tank as a platform for the bed. I have no idea why, but it makes for an awfully high bed.

If you think of it while taping or snapping photo’s could you put a tape measure to the mounting brackets and the height dimensions? Any dimensions would help.

Thanks for the video. The smiley face headliner is a hit!

My current favorite adhesive for attaching wood to the coach body -- especially the wood blocks on my 73 that the trim screws fit to -- is Loctite Power Grab for tub surrounds. Bonds quickly and low to no fumes -- important to me working in confined space.
I bought it at Lowes.
