Ken, the other language is probably Tagalog.

That must be it. In the past I have joined into ham radio conversations with Philippine hams. Once they realized I was there they immediately switched to English. So it must be a dual language society there. All I really know was I did not recognize what they were speaking.

Someone there today stated that the US military (branch unknown) sent some C-130s loaded with supplies to the Leyte area. He heard that, but did not see, there were suppose to be some US search and rescue helicopters coming.
