Tony
I installed a Howell TBI system about eight years ago.
Took me two day as I'm a little picky when it came routing fuel lines and the electrical
I did not like the rubber only fuel lines that came with the kit.
I upgraded to marine fuel hose with stainless steal braided covering.
My reason easy start no matter how long the GMC has been sitting, engine is getting the same fuel and air mix no matter the altitude.
No gas smell when shutting down.
Have never looked back.
One point it did not improve the MPG
I do not have the distributor hooked up to the system.
I have been told we would get better MPG with the distributor also controlled by the computer?
Here is where Jim K will jump in and tell me to come by his shop and he will fix me up
Howell did not offer it eight years ago.
I would go to Jim K he has the full set up.
Have him install it or DIY
Jim and his guys know the Howell system.

Thanks Howard for your endorsement.
Almost every customer that installed the Complete Howell Electronic distributor with EBL has reported a minimum of 1 to 1,5 mpg gain.
The EBL turns the GM computer into a full blown programmable unit if you so choose.
We preprogram the EBL so it is a plug and play unit.
It is a trouble free kit.
Majority of the problems are not related to the unit:
Poor ground, rat eating a wire, ignition module, ignition coil, plugged fuel filter, and deteriated tank selector valve.
Howell will have one of their unit Certified by California Bureau of Automotive Repair in next year or two.

That's a 10 - 15% increase in mileage.
