A friend has a 76 coach with Air ride problems. Is not on this net, so I'm asking a question for him. I'm not completely clear on what is happening here, but he has the air pump and tank up front. Apparently there is a condenser like item that is connected to positive terminal of the pump. The pic-tail has broken off at the canister. What is that, and what can he get to replace it?
Sorry about the sketchy info here, it is all I could get from him.

Are manuals still available, and where can he get them?

Larry,

I'm just guessing since I've never seen a pump so equipped, but I'll bet
it's merely a noise suppression capacitor. If so, there are a couple of
options: 1. Remove it, and forget about it 'cause it probably only
suppresses static on the AM band. 2. Replace it with a similar capacitor,
the value of which isn't really very important: If it was connected in
series, get one like that on the HVAC blower motor; if it's in parallel,
use a points distributor condenser.
