For his asking price, I'd call Manny and get his. Price is well above market. Especially for an unknown TH425 that has not been used in how long?

Tell him. He needs to know what the market will bear.
He sold his GMC to someone in Oregon for $14.5. Is a really nice unit.

Unless you drove his GMC and know how the trans works, and you know when it
was last rebuilt, you're taking a chance and it's worth nothing.
If Manny has a trans, you know that he knows what he's doing, he has fresh
product and his are worth whatever he is asking?
Mr 2 Big Ones has an inflated sense of value.
