G'day,

I took apart the windshield washer pump and found the little rubber impeller was rotted, has anyone ever found a rebuild kit for the
pump?

Yes, I know you can buy replacement pumps and JimK has them too but all I want is a kit that contains the rubber impeller.

Regards,
Rob M.

Rob,

Over the years, I have had the same situation.
The only way I managed to get a new impeller was to have a guy that I know that then (no longer) worked for Trico send me one. I never managed to acquire one outside that method. I have tried.

If they have started marketing the kit (gasket and impeller) that would be nice, but I haven't seen it.

Matt

I replaced my original washer setup with a new universal washer tank/pump assy. Around $30. The pump is a universal design, so replacements are available for less than $10. Mounted it in the same location, just a bit lower to make filling easier.

Hi Rob, In the mall I found a Jeep with a rear wiper with washer and the water tank had 2 pumps that were mounted in the bottom of the tank using rubber grommets. I have the Lumina wipers with 4 nozzles and needed 2 pumps. Using the step drill I used to resize the wiper arms I was able to install both pumps in the bottom of the stock washer tank. However when I went to install I picked it up by squeezing the sides with the top off and being old and brittle it cracked it.
