I have removed all the interior from my coach except the side bath module.
It was really difficult to take out the sun visor arms, now I am ready to reinstall the front head liner and I need some advice on replacing those visor arms.
The original shades had attached themselves to the steel arms and would not swivel. They were assigned to the garbage.
Is it possible to re-install the old arms and what would be best for a replacement visor part? Has anybody used different visors?

My experience based on two coaches and rebuilding several visors.
The visors are held on to the visor arms with a piece of sheet steel stapled to the cardboard backing attached to the visors themselves. If you can get the metal off the visor arm, remove the rust and lubricate everything that will work just fine.
Scrap the cardboard and replace it with a piece of thin wood, Pergo, whatever. Use the cardboard to trace onto the new backing. Use pop rivets to attach the visor to the new wood backing. Sew everything together assuming you did not throw out the the visors themselves.
You have a rebuilt visor that is essentially bulletproof.
Cheers,

Peter,
I asked the expert, Jim Bounds, this question at Coos Bay. The trick to re-installing the visors is to use a small cut off wheel to cut the spring on the visor shaft. This will relieve enough tension to allow you to more easily get the nut started.
I haven't tried it yet but Jim has done it many times.
I didn't ask about replacing the visor pads.
Good luck! Report back with your success.

Peter, I had my visors out earlier this year when I repaired the cracks in my front cap. I didn't have much difficulty getting the visors reinstalled. After getting the nut lined up I just used the visor arm to turn the nut in, then held the nut in place with a wrench, moved the arm back to the original position and repeated these steps until it was tight. I didn't have to modify anything to get this done. In my opinion it was the easiest part of reinstalling the front cap.
My visors are actually in very good shape so I didn't have to do anything to repair them. Good Luck, Bob

Peter, I have two extra original visors in great shape from a 73
