Rob, not sure if you are in the US or Oz but hope you are away from the
terrible fires that are occurring in Australia. Here in CA we know what it
is like.
Hope for the best
Thanks,

Gary,
I am currently in Houston until November 18th. Helen hasn't mentioned the fires probably because we live about a mile from the
central business district of Sydney.
I've done some reading on the fires and this is particularly bad as it is really early in the season and they are monsters! My heart
goes out to the people that have lost everything, it must be devastating!
Regards,
Rob M.

devastating. i have had one house burn with a rock and roll sound studio all burn to the ground. once in santa cruz ca.
I was building a buckminster fuller rock band called the world man band. It burn't to the ground except for an auto graphed book from Albert Einstein that was from paul schillp . ALbert was a friend of his. Paul married me in a geodesic dome in carbondale illinois once. It lasted for 2 years.
The book was the only thing left in the closet on the corner floor in a suit case that burnt and the book was miraculously the only thing left. I still have it. anyway if you know anyone that has a fire like these big ones tell them not to fight - run, you can foam the house but get out of there - a hose is nothing to a 40 mile an hour wind and fire. One thing is to after the fire the secret is to go soon as possible and get what you can from it. For when it rains all that black dust and ashes turns into concrete and smells so bad you would leave a gold ring and not try and get it. It smells so bad and is so hard to pry up the concrete like slabs that it turns into you will give up the search no matter who you are. So warn anyone you know that had a fire to not let it rain before they go back. The humming birds would go in the air right where the feeders use to be in the air, even though the whole house was gone, like saying where did it go?
don't fight - run if it is big, clean it up before it rains. mickey anaheim ca. 77 palm beach.
