In 1967 gas was at $.33 a gal. Factor in the cost of living at 12 to 15 times that of 1967. The base year for cost of living. So is gas really that high here in the US. Personally I don't think the US, and Canada should try to be energy independent. And use up what we have. And later have to go back to offshore oil that will be even higher later when we are desperate. Because we used our oil supply up. I think we should save our oil, and natural gas. And use up theirs now. Then tell the Middle East to go pack sand some day down the road when their back to having only their sand. And we will have no reason to get involved with their fighting. That they will never stop doing anyway.

Good one.
I think I'll stop by Taco Bell for a fill up.
On our trip to Coos Bay coming back via Fernley Nv.
We paid up to 3.99 and as low as 3.29
Saw price as high 4.09 coming back on US 395

What an interesting way to show data. Tying price, usage, and income really paints a different picture than just one metric.

shows us paying around 5.40 per gallon we have to work about the same amount of time but we use about half as much each per year
