Ouch! Sorry didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. I know that there are many people that have spent a good portion of their life to the greater good of this GMC community, which means -support our vendors! I am new to this group of GMC M/H people and am learning. There is so much knowledge gained and spread to all just for the asking. First quality parts are a major consideration. The GMC coach that I bought and if correct was redone at the CoOp appox. 9-10 years ago and can be seen on JimB's site as "The Phoenix". It is a 26' 1977 Kingsley that was repainted and had all the interior redone, what else was done I do not know, no paperwork survived to this owner. I have coach down to the walls as some other PO had left the water on and flooded the coach, much of the interior is N/G. When I got it, the three way fridge was gone, TV gone, stove gone, drawers rotted away doors too. Why did I buy it? First, I'm a bargain hunter, second, I thought that I'd
sell it for parts, Third, if I rebuilt it, I've done it B/4.  Then I drove that poor thing all the way to Texas, and she didn't let me down in 1400 miles, well I couldn't just not do something, so the rebuilding has process begun.

The ethanol has been attaching the Tank selector valve and also the mechanical fuel pumps.
If you have not changed them in the last 3 years, better do it now.
I have lost a 403 due to mechanical fuel pump on a engine that had only 20,000 miles on it,
Those that did not hear my presentation at International can call me and we can discuss this topic as we all are going to feel the consequent of this additive.

Jim, does your post say we need to change tank selector valve and mechanical fuel pump now and then every three years if they have not been changed out? Ouch!!! Hope you have a lot in stock. Can you post your presentation on the gmc photo site?

Mike,

Not quite.....
If you are fluent in Kamatees then you might (might) have understood that he meant - If you haven't changed your fuel pump and selector valve in the last three years, you better plan on doing so very soon.

There have been multiple reports of pump diaphragms failing and allowing the pump to leak fuel into the crankcase. This is not supposed to happen, but apparently the protections put in place haven't lasted forty years either.
