Our windshield curtains had bad water stains. I know water stains are very hard to get out so I would need to replace them.
I thought about just getting pinch pleated curtains. & cutting bottom off. You use to be able to buy these everywhere at all different prices. Not any more.
I googled & read that someone had success spraying with Oxyclean pre wash stain treatment & washing on a gentle cycle. I didn't have anything to loose & they looked washable.
My expectations were not high. I was afraid they would come out in shreds.
But I tried it. To my surprise, they came out looking brand new. No more water stains & not in shreds.
Wish I could get the stains on the fabric headliner to disappear.

My wife bought thermal backing drapes at Sears and cut them to fit the front windshields and the drapes behind the front driver's and passenger's seats.
The white thermal backing reflects the sun and also serves to keep lights out at night.
They are actually more economical to do it this way rather than to purchase the fabric and make your own.
There are several places besides Sears that sell them. KMart, Wallmart, etc.
